The list, which is in its second year, focuses on 20 brands that are less than six years old but have the potential to become future industry leaders.
After appearing on ABC's hit show Shark Tank in March of 2019, Press Waffle Co. remained relatively quiet for sometime.
"We had an overwhelming response from the show" said Press Waffle Co. Founder Bryan Lewis. "We don't sell an item that can be packed up and shipped overnight. So it takes a long time to really see the "Shark Tank effect" play out in full."
Since striking a deal with Barbara Corcoran in the tank, the company has opened two new stores, including their first franchised unit in Waco, TX. "We spent many months developing our franchise program and laying the foundation for successful growth." said Lewis. "We have a strong pipeline of franchise interest and planned store openings, and feel confident in moving forward after taking the time to be 'smart' rather than 'fast'."
The company, which plans to open its next franchised unit in The Woodlands, TX has multiple stores in development including locations in Little Rock, St. Louis, Dallas, and a second Houston area location. Though the global pandemic has stretched their timelines, the company is still moving forward with new unit development, and looks forward to bringing their unique concept to multiple new markets through 2021.
